We are seeking a bright, dynamic, team-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO)to join our established, fun, patient-focused practice. The Practice Administrator is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the practice by working with the Shareholders and the Executive Management Team to establish goals, strategies, plans, and policies.

Required Education, Experience, and Certification/Licensure
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field.
At least seven years healthcare leadership experience.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field.
At least five years medical practice management, preferably within an eye care practice.
Establishes credibility throughout the practice and with the Shareholders as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
Provides leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of the practice are carried out.
Drives the practice to achieve and surpass revenue, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives.
Spearheads the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
Collaborates with the Executive Management Team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the practice.
Motivates and leads a high-performance management team; attracts, recruits, and retains required members of the executive team not currently in place; provides mentoring as a cornerstone to the management career development program.
Acts as lead “client-care officer” through direct contact with every client and partner.
Assists, as required, in raising additional capital to enable the practice to meet revenue, growth, and market share objectives.
Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the practice.
Represents the practice with clients, investors, and business partners.
Maintains appropriate oversight of practice financial operations with direct responsibility for financial reporting, budgeting, and tax reporting and compliance.
Ensures effective coordination of staff efforts; provides support and assistance to directors and leads; oversees hiring, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and training of practice staff; ensures compliance with practice procedures and governmental regulations.
Ensures appropriate regulatory compliance and quality standards in all aspects of practice services provided to patients; maintains effective methods for assessing such performance.
Maintains appropriate communication with payers, sustaining positive and mutually beneficial relationships; monitors payer contract performance and provides evaluation of potential contracting opportunities.
Ensures positive and loyal relationships are ongoing with referring specialists; maintains oversight of appropriate training and coordination assistance for referring offices.
Maintains oversight of corporate facilities and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and safekeeping. Ensures maintenance of supplies inventories and maintains appropriate processes for ordering and storage of such supplies. Maintains oversight of vendor contracts.
Performs other duties and assumes various responsibilities as determined by the Shareholders.
Additional Salary Information: Total Compensation package includes bonus structure, benefits, paid time off.
