Chief Administrative Officer
As the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Alameda Health Partners & Provider Delivery, you will oversee the success and continued growth of our multi-specialty physician organization based in Oakland, CA.

We work with Alameda Health System, a major public health provider in the East Bay. Come steer emerging developments in health care quality, safety, and performance improvement across our multiple hospital campuses and community clinics. As a leader, you will:
Provide leadership in the conception, planning, and development of strategies and objectives related to various clinical specialties for consideration and adoption by the AHP Board.
Work closely with the AHS senior leadership, physicians, members of the management team, board members and other members of the Group in the formulation of specific recommendations. Facilitates the development of appropriate performance metrics and reporting.
Work collaboratively with leaders across Alameda Health System to secure resources for projects and AHP operations. Builds alignment to execute on strategic projects and initiatives.
In partnership with the AHP President and AHS CMO, develop and execute strategic planning for all AHP operations. Presents strategic plans to the AHP board for consideration.
Oversee financial management of the organization including budgeting, physician compensation and productivity. Reports to AHP Board on operational and financial performance.
Direct the development of infrastructure that supports the daily operations of AHP, providing leadership and direction in facilitating the attainment of the organization’s objectives while meeting the businesses requirements. Report regularly to the President and Board on the organization’s performance metrics.
Represent the organization in its relationships with community businesses and civic associations, government agencies, and professional organizations.
Ensure that all activities of the organization are in compliance with all federal and state statutes. Keeps abreast of pending legislation.
Develop long- and short-range plans in alignment with our system’s overall strategic plan while evolving the healthcare landscape
Report regularly to the AHP Board on the operation of the organization and the performance of its various departments
Represent the organization in its relationships with community businesses, civic associations, government agencies, and professional organizations
Ensure that all activities of the organization are in compliance with federal and state statutes
Develop and implement processes, procedures and operational policies
A Bachelor degree in Business, Healthcare Management or a related field; a Master degree in Business or Healthcare Management is preferred
At least 5 years of leadership experience in a large medical group or healthcare organization
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in areas such as: physician practice management, financial management, health insurance negotiating and contracting (e.g., fee-for-service and capitated products), marketing, professional billing, information systems and human resources
Experience leading business operations in a multi-specialty group practice or other related healthcare environment is preferred
Experience building and growing operational infrastructure and healthcare services
