Vantage Point Retirement Living, located in Exton, PA is on an exciting new evolution in their senior housing markets of Chester County and Montgomery County, PA as well as Sussex and Kent County DE. We are searching for a dynamic and creative person to expand sales in these areas for personal care, assisted living, memory care and independent living.
The Corporate Director of Sales works in the collaboration with the Vice President of Operations as well as the Corporate Marketing Director to support community leadership to positively impact occupancy by providing sales and marketing support, expertise and guidance to community sales staff. This position is responsible for the implementation, support and results of our organization’s sales programs within your assigned territory.
You will be required to develop and report in the following areas which are key, but not limited to:
Monitor the overall results of community sales efforts and make recommendations regarding necessary changes in marketing strategy, external business development initiatives and Community sales performance metrics.
Lead and support the on-boarding of new communities and their directors of community sales, review trends within the assigned communities and provide coaching and support on overall sales execution
Provide accurate forecasting to corporate and regional leadership, monitor daily changes and report such changes.
Plan and participate in marketing events to promote community to prospective residents, their families and area professionals in collaboration with corporate director of marketing. Responsibilities include assisting in the planning and development of presentations, overseeing ‘day of’ event success, participating in presentation and engaging with event attendees.
Effectively coach, mentor and train sales staff with a focus on relationship-based sales strategies (to include inquiry follow-up, advancement of sales and handling objections) to Community Sales Staff. Provide direction, feedback and training relative to all cycles of the selling process. Additionally, providing training in proper telephone etiquette and tour excellence.
Proficiency with the Company’s lead tracking system. Utilizes electronic lead generation and tracking reports.
Proficiency with planning and the execution of sales events involving prospects and professionals as required.
Leadership in the development of quarterly community sales plans in collaboration with community leadership team and collaborates with regional operations as appropriate.
Assist in the completion of competitive analysis and other market research and trends as needed. Understand how to assist each community with developing or confirming their market position.
Conduct external sales calls with community sales staff during regularly scheduled site visits. Provide coaching regarding the pre-planning, the execution and the critique of the sales call. Observes inquiry follow-up strategy.
Plan strategy meetings to discuss sales trends and projections with VP of Operations and community leadership. Assist community in ensuring curb appeal and all corporate expectations of customer service, cleanliness and a tour ready building are met daily.

With our Residents and Communities in mind, the right candidate for this position will have:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field and five – eight years progressive experience in sales and marketing with at least three years in sales management in the senior living industry. Multi-site management and experience and participation in start -up and/or expansion preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
Excellent written and verbal skills including proper grammar and professional writing in a variety of formats and mediums. An ability to speak persuasively and present information both one-on-one and in front of audiences.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to make and support collaborative decisions as well as make decisions independently.
Ability to work with strict deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
Ability to understand and execute budgetary items and participate in fiscal management of Community and Corporate guidelines.
Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet based applications.
Strong orientation to older adults and families.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong public speaking skills.
Willingness to travel and/or stay overnight near a Community to give proper community support, training and coaching.
This position will be based out of the Corporate offices of Vantage Point Retirement Living in Exton, PA. As providers of senior housing in the Mid-Atlantic region, travel and overnight stays will be required to best serve our Community’s interest.
