Responsible for the administrative operation of the Certified Home Health Agency and/or Long Term Home Health Care Program. Responsible for the direction and supervision of the staff. Ensure compliance with Agency Policies and Procedures and regulatory issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES FOR POSITION:
Interpretation and execution of the policies of the governing authority.
Analyze and organize clinical and administrative functions for branch.
Supervise, monitor and direct office operations to ensure compliance with Agency Policies and Procedures, as well as federal, state and local regulations.
Ensure employment of qualified personnel, evaluation of staff performance per agency policy, as well asproper orientation and ongoing in-service education programs for agency personnel; Responsible for the oversight of the delivery of care to all patients served under the Agency's providernumber.
Represent the organization with all referral source; physicians, and the community on an as-neededbasis in conjunction with Community Relations Specialists.
Promote positive public awareness of theAgency through continuing education and positive relationships with local contracts.
Responsible for oversight of documentation that include starts-of-care and re-certifications, for appropriateness of care delivery and documentation requirements.
Provide oversight to the intake department to ensure that the supply of clinical resources match theintake of patients, and that patients are appropriate for home care services.
Participate in preparation of the annual budget. Monitor expenses, including wages, to ensurecompliance with operating budgets.
Adhere to all standards as it relates to the Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) requirements, including, but not limited to, compiling and analyzing statistical reports, presenting to committee, and ensuring compliance with the quarterly meeting schedule.
Prepare cost report data as appropriate
Prepare statistical filing reports as appropriate.
Promote concept of Performance Improvement to all staff through training and program development.
Maintain and continue to grow Agency by expanding referral sources and developing / nurturing relationships with existing referral sources.
Participate in workshops, seminars and professional meetings as a service to the community.
Use and aggregate clinical and operations data for performance improvement activities.
Ensure that documentation and patient clinical records demonstrate compliance with agency policies and procedures and federal, state and local regulations.
Observe and ensure clients' rights and confidentiality standards are adhered to.
Ensure the agency is compliant with all licensure regulations and standards.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
If qualified, may perform direct and / or indirect patient care activities.
Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; evaluating performance; counsel employees when necessary regarding performance concerns; as well as addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS - NEW YORK
Bachelor's Degree, or related training and experience, in health services administration and at least one (1) year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or related health programs; OR a licensed physician with at least one (1) year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or related health programs; OR a Registered Nurse with at least one (1) year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or related health programs.
Five (5) years progressively responsible supervisory or administrative experience in health care
administration, management or supervision strongly preferred. Certified Home Health experience required.
Ability to demonstrate leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
